- The best way to circulate solar panels is not by recycling but reuse.
- Old and damaged solar panels can be repaired or refurbished on-site or after demolition at a low cost, with a similar appearance and performance to new products. By applying the output recovery technology and electrically shorting only the damaged solar cells, high output, a recovered performance can be expected.
- The development of technology for recycling solar panel waste and the construction of recycling centers are underway, but there is no technical development on the reuse of panels, legal grounds for certification and the sale of reused panels.
- There is potential for creating new markets for the output recovery and resale of the reused panels, as well as the supplementary solar power plant repowering market.
- Reuse is indispensable to meet the exponential growth in the reuse of solar panel waste (eco-panels) in the future.
